AlarMind

Privacy Policy

Olive Bridge (“the developer”) operates AlarMind (“the app”). This policy explains what information the app processes, why, and what choices you have. The developer is based in the Republic of Korea and follows the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable laws.

Published 2026.08.11 Effective 2026.08.18 Version 2.0

01Overview

AlarMind is an alarm app that helps you start the day by speaking or typing an affirmation phrase you set for yourself.

AlarMind is free to download and shows a banner ad inside the app. If you would rather use it without ads, a one-time ad-free purchase removes them for good. It is not a subscription, so there is nothing to renew or cancel.

The one thing that never changes

Your affirmation phrases and the voice you record to dismiss an alarm never leave your device. They are never used for advertising.

The developer processes only the minimum information needed to run the service and show ads.

02Information that stays on your device

The following is stored and processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

  • Affirmation phrases and alarm settings such as repeat days, alarm sound, and background
  • Voice and typed input used to dismiss an alarm
  • Speech recognition results, since recognition runs on the device itself

In other words, your voice and your phrases stay with you. They are not used for ad delivery or ad measurement.

03What we process and how

The developer processes the following within the scope needed to operate the service.

3.1 Usage and diagnostic data — collected automatically

CategoryDataTool
UsageApp events and screen viewsGoogle Firebase Analytics
Device identifierDevice IDGoogle Firebase Analytics
Device and environmentDevice model, OS version, language and region settingsFirebase Analytics / Crashlytics
Coarse locationCountry or region level locationGoogle Firebase Analytics
DiagnosticsCrash reports, stack traces, performance logsGoogle Firebase Crashlytics

Your IP address may be used momentarily during analysis, but only to determine a coarse country or region level location. It is discarded immediately afterwards and is not stored.

3.2 Advertising data — collected automatically

Banner ads in the app are served by Google AdMob, which processes the following.

CategoryDataTool
Advertising identifierIdentifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or an app-scoped identifierGoogle AdMob
Device and environmentDevice model, OS version, language and region, screen size, network typeGoogle AdMob
Coarse locationCountry or region level location derived from IP addressGoogle AdMob
Ad interactionAd impressions and clicksGoogle AdMob

Personalized ads only if you allow tracking

The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

If you decline, no personalized ads based on the advertising identifier are served, and you see non-personalized ads instead. Even then, a minimal amount of device and environment data may be processed to prevent ad fraud, cap how often an ad appears, and compile aggregate statistics.

3.3 In-app purchase

Payment for the ad-free purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not collect, store, or have any access to your card number, bank details, or other payment credentials.

To decide whether to show ads, the app checks transaction information provided by Apple, such as purchase history, transaction identifier, and the app version you originally downloaded. This information contains no name or Apple Account details, and it is not stored on any server run by the developer.

3.4 Bug reports — sent only when you choose to

When you use the “Report a problem” feature in the app, and only then, the following is sent.

  • App runtime logs
  • Device information such as model and OS version
  • Device identifier

Nothing is sent unless you tap to submit a report. The device identifier included in a report is not combined with any account or identity information and is handled anonymously.

04Why we process it

Collected information is used only for the following purposes.

  • Analytics — understanding how the app is used, improving existing features, and planning new ones
  • Stability — diagnosing and reducing crashes, improving performance, and responding to bug reports
  • Advertising — showing ads, limiting how often each ad appears, preventing ad fraud, and measuring ad performance
  • Purchase verification — confirming the ad-free purchase and deciding whether to show ads

Information is never used for any other purpose. In particular, your affirmation phrases and voice are never used for advertising or anything else.

05Retention

Information is destroyed without delay once its purpose has been fulfilled. The following is retained for the periods shown.

DataRetention
Bug report logs and device information1 year after the enquiry is resolved, then destroyed
Firebase Analytics events and user data2 months, then deleted automatically
Firebase Crashlytics crash and diagnostic data90 days, then deleted automatically
AdMob advertising dataProcessed and retained under Google’s policies; not separately stored by the developer
Purchase statusChecked on device only; not stored on any developer server

Where a law requires a longer retention period, that period applies.

06Processors and sharing

The developer entrusts processing to the following parties in order to operate the service.

You can read how Google uses data from partner sites and apps on Google’s page about it, and how Apple handles personal data in the Apple Privacy Policy.

07International transfers

The services used by the app process data on servers outside the Republic of Korea, so information may be transferred as follows.

RecipientCountriesData and purpose
Google LLC United States and other countries where Google operates data centres Sections 3.1, 3.2, 3.4 — usage analytics, crash diagnostics, ad delivery and measurement
Apple Inc. United States and other countries where Apple operates data centres Section 3.3 — in-app payment processing and purchase verification
  • When and how — transmitted over the network when you use the app, view an ad, make a purchase, or submit a bug report
  • Retention — as set out in Section 5

For more detail, see the Google Privacy Policy.

08Your rights and how to use them

You may exercise the following rights at any time.

  • Request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your information
  • Delete alarms and phrases stored on your device directly; removing the app deletes them too
  • Opt out of personalized ads
  • Remove ads entirely with the one-time purchase

Turning off personalized ads

  • Turn off tracking — go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS and turn off the permission for AlarMind. Personalized ads based on the advertising identifier stop.
  • Turn off Apple personalized ads — go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Turning off personalization does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant to you. To remove ads entirely, use the one-time in-app ad-free purchase.

To exercise a right, contact the developer at the address in Section 12.

09Deletion

Information is destroyed without delay once its retention period has passed or its purpose has been fulfilled. Electronic files are deleted in a way that makes recovery impossible.

10Security

The developer takes the following measures to keep information safe.

  • Minimising and managing access rights to personal information
  • Technical safeguards including encryption in transit
  • Adherence to the security policies of the processors used, namely Google and Apple

11Children’s privacy

AlarMind is not directed to children under 14, and the developer does not knowingly collect information from children under 14. Ads shown in the app are likewise not directed to children.

This policy may be revised to reflect changes in law or in the service. Any change will be announced in the app or on this page.

What changed in this revision

AlarMind moved from a paid app to a free app with in-app advertising, and a one-time ad-free purchase was added. This revision introduces the advertising data described in Section 3.2, the in-app purchase information in Section 3.3, the added processors and transfer recipients in Sections 6 and 7, and the opt-out instructions in Section 8.
